About AussieCalc
What Is AussieCalc?
AussieCalc is a free, independent collection of Australian finance and property calculators. We build the tools that Australians actually need — income tax, stamp duty, mortgage repayments, CGT, superannuation, HECS, and much more — all in one place, with no sign-up required and no paywalls.
Our Approach
Every calculator on AussieCalc is designed to give you a fast, accurate answer using current Australian tax rates and rules. We update all calculators for each new financial year as soon as rates are confirmed, so you can be confident the numbers reflect the latest legislation — not last year's brackets.
We believe financial information should be accessible to everyone. You shouldn't need to be a tax accountant to understand what your marginal tax rate is, how much LMI you might pay, or whether it's worth holding shares for 12 months to get the CGT discount. AussieCalc explains the concepts in plain English and does the maths for you.
Who We Are
AussieCalc is an independent Australian website. We are not affiliated with any bank, financial institution, accounting firm, or government body. Our calculators are built by Australians, for Australians.
What We Cover
Our calculators span the full range of personal finance decisions that Australians face:

Current as at 2025–26 Financial Year
All rates, thresholds, and brackets on AussieCalc are updated for the 2025–26 financial year (1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026), incorporating the Stage 3 tax cuts and all current super guarantee rates. Where rates differ between years, we note the relevant year clearly.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. Here is a plain-English summary of how AussieCalc handles your data.
No Personal Data Collected
AussieCalc does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information you enter into our calculators. All calculations run entirely in your browser (client-side JavaScript). The numbers you type into any calculator field are never sent to our servers or stored anywhere.
Analytics
We use standard website analytics to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are popular, how long visitors stay, and what devices they use. This data is aggregated and anonymised. We do not use analytics to build individual user profiles, and we do not share analytics data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies
AussieCalc may set functional cookies to remember your preferences (such as your last-selected state in a dropdown). We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or cookies from social media platforms. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to use our calculators.
Advertising
AussieCalc displays advertisements to support the free operation of the site. Advertising is served by third-party networks. We do not share personally identifiable information with advertisers. Standard ad serving involves the advertiser's server setting its own cookies, which are subject to the advertiser's privacy policy.
Links to Third Parties
AussieCalc contains links to external sites (such as state revenue offices and the ATO). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

If you have questions about our privacy practices, please use the contact information on our website. We will do our best to respond within 5 business days.
Terms of Use
General Information Only
The calculators and information on AussieCalc are provided for general information and educational purposes only. They do not constitute financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any other professional advice. You should not rely on any calculation result as the basis for any financial decision without first obtaining appropriate professional advice tailored to your specific circumstances.
Not a Substitute for Professional Advice
Tax law and financial regulations are complex. The results produced by our calculators are estimates based on the information you enter and the simplifying assumptions built into each calculator. Individual circumstances — including tax history, eligibility for concessions, applicable offsets, and entity type — can significantly affect the actual amount of tax or cost applicable to you. Always consult a registered tax agent, financial planner, conveyancer, or other qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
Accuracy of Rates
We make every effort to ensure that tax rates, thresholds, and legislative rules used in our calculators are current and correct. However, rates change, legislation is amended, and there may be a delay between legislative change and our calculator updates. AussieCalc does not warrant that information is complete, accurate, or up to date at any given time.
No Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AussieCalc and its operators exclude all liability for any loss, damage, cost, or expense (including consequential loss) arising from your use of, or reliance on, any information or calculator on this website. This includes but is not limited to decisions made on the basis of calculator outputs.
Intellectual Property
All content on AussieCalc — including text, calculators, code, and design — is the property of AussieCalc and is protected by Australian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from this site without our prior written consent. Personal, non-commercial use is permitted.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of AussieCalc after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. The date of the most recent update is shown at the bottom of this page.
Last updated: May 2026.
Regulatory Compliance
AussieCalc operates in accordance with ASIC Corporations (Generic Calculators) Instrument 2026/41, the legislative instrument issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission that governs the provision of generic financial calculators to the public.
What the Instrument Covers
The ASIC Generic Calculators Instrument provides relief from the requirement to hold an Australian Financial Services (AFS) licence for entities that publish calculators meeting specified criteria. To qualify under the instrument, calculators must:
- Be generic in nature — they must not produce personalised financial product advice
- Present results as estimates or illustrations only, not as recommendations
- Include prominent disclosure that the output is a general estimate and not financial advice
- Direct users to seek professional advice for decisions specific to their circumstances
How AussieCalc Complies
Every calculator on AussieCalc is designed and operated in accordance with these requirements:
- Generic estimates only: Our calculators use publicly available rates and standard formulas to produce general estimates. They do not consider your full financial situation, investment objectives, or individual tax history.
- No personalised advice: AussieCalc does not provide, and has no mechanism to provide, personalised financial product advice. We are not a financial adviser and do not recommend any particular course of action.
- Clear disclosure: Each calculator page includes a disclaimer clearly stating that outputs are estimates only and should not be relied upon as financial advice.
- Professional advice referral: All pages direct users to consult a registered tax agent, financial planner, conveyancer, or other qualified professional before making financial decisions.
- Accurate and current rates: We maintain calculators using current legislated rates (2025–26 FY) and update them promptly when rates change, minimising the risk of users relying on outdated figures.
No AFS Licence Required
AussieCalc is not a financial services business and does not hold or require an AFS licence. Our calculators fall within the scope of the ASIC Generic Calculators Instrument and are provided solely for educational and general information purposes. If you require personalised financial, tax, or property advice, please consult a licensed professional.
